Biscuits & Chorizo Gravy

Biscuits & Gravy, Chorizo Style

She suggested going to the store to buy doughnuts, he offered up some Bs&Gs. Which sounded great n all… but it’s hard to beat doughnuts. Then he suggested Chorizo gravy instead of sausage gravy.

That there is a game changer.

Breakfast Needs

1 package chorizo

1/4 cup of flour

3 cups milk

2 tsp salt

1 container biscuits

cheese of your choice (we used shredded cheddar)

EXTRAS: bacon pieces, sausage bits, tortilla chips, chives, eggs, hasbrowns, breakfast potatoes, etc.

B's & G's

1. In a medium skillet over medium heat, brown the chorizo. Once cooked, add in half of the flour while stirring. After thoroughly mixed together, add in the other half.

2. Slowly add in the milk while stirring the entire time. Once it’s thoroughly mixed, let it simmer until it thickens & continue stirring.

3. Bake your B’s according to the directions. When they are about 3 minutes from being fully baked, take them out, sprinkle some cheese on top, & throw them back in.

4. We decided to place our biscuits on tortilla strips, topped with sausage, bacon, & chives. & yes, this definitely beats doughnuts.

You had me at chorizo! I can’t believe I’ve never thought to use it in gravy! Add tortilla chips for a lil crunch… oh my I was going to say I’ll try it this weekend, but now I’m not sure I can wait that long 😋
